It turns out the Feed Wrangler plugin for WordPress, which I use to generate the feeds, works with 2.7, which allowed me to update
If you run a self-hosted WordPress site, you must use the WP-DB-Backup plugin to backup your MySQL database

I’ve been playing with socialmedian, a Digg-like social news site. I’m johngrinde.
TechRadio.TV has a new look!
Moving from WordPress.com to self-hosted WordPress to Drupal, and now, back to WordPress
Base theme is Revolution Church by Brian Gardner
You can get a theme similar to Revolution Blog called Code Blue
I use Feed Wrangler, a great WordPress plugin that allows you to have multiple feeds with different templates
I used to use Feeder, an excellent Mac application for creating RSS feeds
You can download the full theme with my customizations here
A recent post on socialmedian begged the question, “Where would you go as an alternative to Twitter”
I think Laconica is a good way to go, because you can follow users on other Laconica networks
The TWiT Army and Identica are two examples of Laconica in action

New Site Design!

Revolution Church Screenshot

It’s been pretty quiet around here lately due to my participation in a school play. Meanwhile I’ve been tweaking this new WordPress theme called Revolution Church by Brian Gardner. The new site features a redesigned homepage showcasing the latest shows, blog posts, and the feeds (I’ll work on the the subscription area). Now that I have the new foundation down, I’ll start to make evolutionary changes to the design.

I’ve also changed the feeds around so you’ll have to resubscribe to the podcasts (not the site feed, though).
